HOKUTO SEKINE

Hokuto Sekine is a Japanese designer and woodworker, and runs the artisanal design studio Hokuto59. Focused on small-batch production of simple, highly functional furniture, kitchen tools, and cups, the studio releases small batches of pieces seasonally.

While Sekine’s work is rooted in simplicity and functionality, his pieces are simultaneously whimsical and gratifying.
